Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
To address the elephant in the return address label: yes, we have closed up shop in Atlanta and are heading to Virginia. Both of our jobs (Bridget at The Home Depot and Ben at UPS) are now remote so we are venturing north after more than six years in Georgia.
We will be moving into our new home in Northern Virginia in late January after spending some cozy and happy weeks with family in Williamsburg. We are looking forward to being unpacked and ready for visitors soon!
What a year it has been! Ben hasn’t been more conflicted about the concept of time since he got to the Special Relativity section of his theoretical physics class freshman year at William and Mary; another year of pandemic both flew by and dragged on, but proved to be a happy and successful one in the Schultz household.
Emboldened by our new vaccination-supplied super powers, we ventured a bit further away from the house this year, enjoying a wonderful week in Northern Michigan for the 4th of July, a tractor-filled week clearing brush at the cabin near Winchester Virginia, several trips to our former home town of DC, and loved having the chance to reconnect with friends and family members who we had only been able to see in 2D on Zoom calls for far too long.
Despite all of the adventures, we also discovered that there is no vaccination for being an introvert and continued to enjoy elaborate home cooked meals, long bike rides, and quiet time at home.
We hope that you all have a very happy and healthy holidays before heading into a wonderful new year.
Love and best wishes,
Ben and Bridget
