'Tis the Season!

2022 has certainly been a happy “new” year for the Schultz family: new home in Virginia, new opportunities to spend more time with family and friends, and, most importantly, the new addition to the family in the form of our smiley, happy baby Mary!

We moved into our new house outside of Washington, DC in January on the day of a snowstorm, using our time hunkered down inside to unpack and get settled into the house and neighborhood that we are looking forward to enjoying for years to come.

Despite the move, we were both able to keep our Atlanta-based jobs at UPS (Ben) and Home Depot (Bridget) and will continue to work remotely for the foreseeable future.

As we eagerly awaited Mary’s arrival in June, we enjoyed having the opportunity to make up for lost time with friends and family, get to know the area, and undertake a variety of activities that some might have referred to as “nesting.”

June kicked off a new phase of our year (and lives) and launched a series of firsts: Mary’s first concert (Andrew Bird), Mary’s first flight (to Michigan - she did great), Mary’s first international trip (Canada), Mary’s first food festival (an oyster festival - she didn’t have any but is definitely ready to start eating), Mary’s first baseball game (Go Nats!), and Mary’s first Halloween (the most adorable giraffe).

We know that 2023 is going to bring so many more firsts for the new Schultz Party of Three, and we are looking forward to celebrating and experiencing them alongside each of you.

We hope that this holiday season finds you and your families well and that you have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.

With love,

Ben, Bridget, & Mary
